Veterans Day Ceremony At Oak Park Arms
A special Veterans Day commemoration will be held at Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. on Nov. 11.
OAK PARK, IL — This year marks the 100th anniversary of America entering World War I and Oak Park will hold a special Veterans Day ceremony to commemorate those all those who have served their country. Government officials and veterans will be on hand at Oak Park Arms Retirement Community for the Nov. 11 event.
Bugle calls and patriotic tunes will underscore the commemoration, which will feature speeches from local historians and some of Oak Park's elected officials. The Oak Park Police Department color guard will show their skills during this special ceremony.
Residents are invited to attend the event at Oak Park Arms Retirement Community, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
