Woman Bought Jackpot-Winning Lottery Ticket in Oak Park

One lucky Forest Park resident won a $400,000 jackpot prize from a Quick Pick Lucky Day Lotto ticket she bought in Oak Park.

Tatasha Trotter, 41, checked the winning numbers in the March 29 midday drawing and found her ticket matched all five numbers – 02 - 13 - 29 - 41 – 45, according to the Illinois Lottery.

“I had seen so many Illinois Lottery winners in the news; they inspired me to buy a Lucky Day Lotto ticket. I’m so happy I did!” she said.

She called her childhood best friend to share the news and tell her they would finally take a vacation together.

Trotter worked with financial advisors to make investment plans. She advised other lottery players to take a chance like she did.

The winning ticket was purchased at Roosevelt BP, 7140 West Roosevelt Road in Oak Park. The retailer received a $4,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
