OAK PARK, IL — A woman's car was stolen at gunpoint in Oak Park as she tried to park the vehicle Wednesday evening. The carjacking took place just after 7 p.m. in the 400 block of N. Austin.

The victim told police she was parking her 2016 Kia Optima when two teens, around 17 or 18 years old, approached brandishing handguns and demanding that she give them the car. Police say the victim got out of the car and the suspects got in and fled eastbound.
