Woman Carjacked, Pushed Down, Robbed In Oak Park: Cops

OAK PARK, IL — A woman was carjacked, shoved to the ground, and robbed in Oak Park in broad daylight Saturday, police say. The incident took place in the 900 block of S. Elmwood Ave. just after 12 p.m.

Police say the woman's car was rear-ended by a white 2015 Acura occupied by four men. Two of the men, whom the victim described as being around 18 years old, got out of their car and demanded that the victim exit her car.

When the victim got out, police say the men pushed her to the ground and stole her purse, which contained credit cards, her ID, checks, keys and an iPhone X. The suspects then got into the woman's 2013 Acura and both vehicles fled north on Elmwood.

The total loss was estimated at $31,000.
