Would-Be Carjackers Pull Woman From Vehicle In Oak Park

Police are looking for two men who pulled a woman from her car in broad daylight during an attempted carjacking.

OAK PARK, IL — A woman was pulled from her vehicle after she was approached by two men in an attempted carjacking in Oak Park Friday. The incident took place at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the 400 block of N. Kenilworth, police say.

According to police, the victim was sitting in her car when two men came up to her and demanded that she get out of the vehicle. The victim told police that one of the suspects showed a handgun.

Police say the woman refused to get out of the car and the men then pulled her from the vehicle. She still refused to surrender the car, according to police.

The two men then got into an older model silver sedan that was parked nearby and fled, police say.

The woman suffered a minor abrasion during the incident, but did not require medical attention, according to police.
