Community Support Services, (CSS), announced that its flagship fundraiser, Beat the Odds, will be held on April 1st, 2016 at the Hyatt Lodge, 2815 Jorie Boulevard, Oak Brook beginning at 6:00pm. Drew Walker, on air personality from WUSN 99.5, will be the evening’s guest emcee. Proceeds from the night benefit CSS’ Respite program and other services. CSS would like to thank their major sponsors, including Nicor, and Lyons Township Mental Health Commission.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet participants and learn recent successes and future goals of the participants and agency. The evening will also feature unique, handcrafted items for sale from art participants of CSS Academy, the newest learning initiative. A silent and live auction will offer unique and exciting packages such as Chicago Cub tickets and Home Plate Club tickets for White Sox, a trip to Galena, IL and many more!
CSS supports and promotes quality programs for underserved populations, specifically persons with I/DD, such as Down syndrome, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, and autism. Programs are designed to meet the needs of those across the spectrum, fostering independence and reinforcing CSS’ core values: respect the dignity, rights, and self-determination of each person.
