147th Street Closed For 30 Days As Work Begins On Roundabout

147th Street between Ravinia and Walgreen's will be closed for 30 days starting July 23 as work begins on roundabout.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Beginning Monday, July 23, 147th Street will be closed to through traffic between Ravinia Avenue and Walgreen’s entrance. The street will be closed to the east of Walgreen’s for 30 days as work begins on the 147th Street and Ravinia roundabout.

Ravinia Avenue and LaGrange Road traffic will be detoured to 149th Street. The entrance to the village hall at 147th Street and Ravinia Avenue will remain open. Access to First Personal Bank and Athletico along 147th Street will remain open.

The 147th Street entrance to Walgreen’s will be maintained with aggregate (stone) at all times when possible; however the entrance may need to be closed during removal and paving.

Pedestrian access along 147th Street will remain open at all times. Ravinia Avenue and all entrances along Ravinia Avenue will remain open to traffic.

Disruption to patrons attending the upcoming Taste of Orland Park slated for Aug. 3 to Aug. 5 at the Orland Park Village Center is expected to be minimal. Pedestrian traffic will be open. Parking for the the Taste will be available at many of same locations as years past. Parking will also be available at the parking tower on 143rd Street and Ravinia.
