Shooting Deaths Of 2 Men Investigated As Murder-Suicide: Orland PD

The two people knew each other, police said, and the incident appears to have been a domestic dispute. The shooting happened early Jan. 1.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The deaths of two people who were found shot to death in an Orland Park home are under investigation as a murder-suicide, police told Patch.

Preliminary information shows the two victims—both men in their 30s—had returned from a night out shortly before the incident, said Orland Park Police Commander Ken Rosinksi.

Police were called just after 1 a.m. to the home in the 8500 block of 145th Place. The two men were found dead inside.

"Initial investigation shows that the people shot are longtime acquaintances and the shooting revolved around a domestic dispute," police said.

The investigation is ongoing with the Illinois State Police processing the scene, police said. There is no threat to the public.
