Sandburg Model United Nations hosted the seventh annual conference, (CSMUN VII). The conference was staffed by 51 current Sandburg students as well as 9 Sandburg Alumni. 600 Delegates came from all over the state of Illinois to debate a variety of issues including US/Soviet relations during the Cold War, Water Security, Cyber-security, Nuclear Energy in developing Countries, Child Malnutrition, as well as to
simulate current relations between the US, China, the Republic of Korea, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The conference featured, Monique Brigham, as the Keynote Speaker. She is the Program Manager for the Root Cause Coalition in Washington D.C., and spoke to students about the need for passionate and motivated youth. To cap a great day of diplomacy, we also have some award recipients to recognize.
