Adult Violin Class Starts April 7 - Orland Park Studio
Adult Violin Ensemble class is open to violinists who have played at least 2 years and can read music.

Adult Violin Ensemble class will begin on April 7 for 6 weeks on Thursday nights in Orland Park from 7:30-8:30PM. The class is open to violinists who have played at least 2 years and can read music.
“All of the adults who have taken the class in the past and continue to enjoy the class began violin as adults. Some played other instruments as children and some didn’t.”
“In the previous session, the favorite piece of the class was Concerto for Four Violins “ by Telemann, said Janet Kuester, director of The Music Connection. “We truly had fun experiencing this wonderful work while developing technique, tone, and ensemble skills.”

Each session a variety of styles and composers are selected. All in the class have agreed that experiencing the music they love to hear by playing it has helped them appreciate the music more.
“What makes the class so fun for me to teach is to find the music that is exciting and motivational for the group,” Mrs. Kuester added. Some of the music in past classes have included movie music, fiddle music, and classical composers from Pachebel to Mozart.

“Sometimes adults would rather practice great music, but we also find time to include warmups and technique pieces which, when done together, while making it fun, have helped individuals improve skills such as note reading, rhythm reading, learning 3rd position, and better tone production.”
