Library Announces Summer 2026 Storytime Lineup for June, July, and August

The Orland Park Public Library is thrilled to announce its summer 2026 storytime schedule for June, July, and August, featuring a diverse lineup of weekly sessions, specialty programs, and a special return of the popular Comfort Dogs event. Families are invited to visit the library as librarians foster a love of reading through engaging, age-appropriate stories, songs, and activities.

All weekly storytimes require registration and are held in the Youth Services Program Room. Please note registration open dates below.

·Toddler Time – Tuesdays at 10 a.m., June 9 – Aug. 25
*Ages 24-47 months with a parent or caregiver.

·Baby Lapsit Storytime – Wednesdays at 10 a.m., June 10 – Aug. 26
*Ages birth to 11 months with a parent or caregiver.

·Baby Walkers Storytime – Wednesdays at 11 a.m., June 10 – Aug. 26
*Ages 12-23 months with a parent or caregiver.

·Once Upon a Time Storytime – Thursdays at 10 a.m., June 11 – Aug. 27
All ages.

·Bright Starts Family Storytime – Saturdays at 10 a.m., June 13 – Aug. 29
All ages.

Specialty Storytimes

·Arabic Storytime – Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m., June 17, July 15, and Aug. 19 Large Meeting Room 104
All ages.

·Night Owls Storytime – Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. – June 18, July 2, 16, 30, Aug. 13 & 27 in the Youth Services Program Room. All ages.

·Czytanie na dywanie: Bilingual Polish Stortime – Saturday, Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Youth Services Program Room. All ages. Join Ms. Izabel for a fun-filled story time where children learn rhymes, sing songs, and hear stories in English and Polish.

A Very Special Bright Starts: Comfort Dogs

·Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. – Registration opens June 1

·Saturday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. – Registration opens July 15
Large Meeting Room 104 – All ages. Listen to a storytime while petting some pups! Healing Hearts Comfort Dogs will bring new furry friends for you to meet.
