Burger 21 owners Edward Karayanes and Art Chmiel were extremely dedicated to promoting camaraderie among local businesses, community service, and charitable outreach .

Burger 21 will be greatly missed by the Sports Cards and More Show, and the multitude of schools, places of worship, non-profit organizations, small businesses and community organizations they selflessly assisted with donations, special events, and spirit night fundraisers.

As a fellow business, who was positively impacted by Burger 21, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude, appreciation and respect to Ed, Art, and their families, who have graciously treated everyone at the The Sports Cards and More Show like family, since day one.

No matter what we needed...Burger 21 of Orland Park was always there for us. Burger 21 of Orland Park was not just a “good neighbor”, but rather an “exceptional neighbor”, to one and all.

At one time...prior to the Covid-19 pandemic...Burger 21 served as the official concession stand for the Sports Cards and More Show, setting up extra early on Sunday mornings, offering 100% Angus Beef Hot Dogs, gourmet 100% Angus Beef sliders and homemade chili to our patrons and vendors.

Burger 21 of Orland Park generously shared our show dates on their social media sites, posted our advertisements on the walls in their restaurant, and dutifully stuffed Sports Cards and More Show flyers into their take-out orders.

Thanks to the kindness of Ed and Art...Burger 21 of Orland Park became a treasured Sports Cards and More Show Door Prize Sponsor...giving patrons the opportunity to win prizes such as gift cards redeemable for food at their location.

In 2019, Burger 21 of Orland Park teamed up with the Sports Cards and More Show to host a Holiday Party and Business After Hours Event, featuring the legendary, now late Sportscaster, Chet Coppock, for the community.

The dedication, long hours, and strong work ethic of Ed and Art, put Burger 21 of Orland Park on the maps, as a national award-winning restaurant, as the 2017 Franchise of the Year, while continuing to earn yearly awards and honors for exceptional marketing, community outreach, customer service, food quality, cleanliness and impeccable sanitation practices.

Burger 21 of Orland Park was a beloved fixture in the community, the region, and the state...serving many guests from the Sports Cards and More Show, area patrons, and occasional out-of-state diners who wanted to get a taste of the delicious menu and experience the genuine warmth exhibited by Ed, Art and their hard-working, professional staff.

Art and Ed served as teachers, mentors and role models to aspiring chefs, selflessly sharing their experience, wisdom and commitment to excellence.

On behalf of the Sports Cards and More Show...we thank Ed and Art for their selfless kindness, dedication and support, and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

Burger 21 of Orland Park will be deeply missed.
