Young children and their caregivers are invited to enjoy a heartwarming morning of stories and furry friends at the Orland Park Public Library's A Very Special Bright Starts: Comfort Dogs on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Designed for children from birth through age 6, this special Bright Starts story time combines early literacy with the calming presence of certified comfort dogs from Healing Hearts Comfort Dogs. Families will enjoy stories while meeting, petting, and spending time with these gentle canine companions in a welcoming environment.
Registration is required and opens Wednesday, July 15, at 9 a.m. A valid Orland Park Public Library card is required to register. Space is limited.
The Orland Park Public Library serves the community by providing opportunities to learn, explore, and engage with ideas that inform and enrich lives. The library is located at 14921 S. Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park, Illinois. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
