ORLAND PARK, IL — Registration for player packages at Mayor Dodge's Veterans Golf Classic has officially reached capacity, with all 144 golfer spots filled, the Village said Monday.
Local businesses, community organizations and residents can still make an impact on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Silver Lake Country Club by becoming an official event sponsor. Individual tickets for dinner are still available, as are tickets to treat a local veteran and guest to the dinner portion of the event.
"Our community has always shown incredible dedication to our service members, and seeing this golf classic sell out so quickly is a powerful testament to that spirit," said Mayor Jim Dodge. "While all the golfer spots are filled, our mission is just getting started. As a veteran myself, I know firsthand how vital these funds are for the Orland Park Veterans Advisory Board and our local posts. The true impact of this event relies on the generosity of our local sponsors and community partners."
All proceeds from the annual outing directly benefit the Orland Park Veterans Advisory Board and surrounding military organizations, including American Legion Orland Memorial Post 111, Reber-Tesmond Orland-Palos VFW Post 2604 and area active-duty military groups.
