• Would-be robber found out the hard way that he picked the wrong victim (newsbeyonddetroit.net) — An attempted robbery at an Orland Park gas station ended when a concealed-carry permit holder shot and wounded the armed suspect, who was later taken to a hospital. Orland Park police are investigating, and the cooperating customer has not been identified. The station's owners say the violence is unsettling for their family business and the surrounding community.
