Attack 12U Volleyball Team Wins Four Consecutive Tourneys

One defeat in the Great Lakes Volleyball Windy City Power League cost the Attack 12 Blue team a first place medal in March. Since then, the players have made sure that first place was the only option. They have won four consecutive tournaments since April, including the May 24 Palos Courts Tournament.

“The team had a little hiccup to start the championship game against Ultimate Gold,” explained Coach Pam Campbell. “We found ourselves down by 12 points, but little by little, with heart and the will to not give up or get rattled, the girls came back and won the first game by four points and then easily sealed the victory in the second game of the best-of-three contest.”

The next challenge for the Attack 12 team will be the AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championship in mid-June. The Orland Park-based club will be sending eight teams to the national tournament in Orlando, Fla.
