Bag Of Fireworks Melts In Orland Park Grass Fire
Police assisted firefighters in Orland Park by using a drone to detect hot spots in the Silo Ridge subdivision Wednesday afternoon.
ORLAND PARK, IL -- A volleyball net and garbage bag filled with fireworks were both partially melted during a grass fire put out by firefighters in Orland Park on Wednesday.
Orland Park police assisted firefighters in providing a drone to check for hot spots in a large grassy field behind Country Lane in the Silo Ridge subdivision, according to Todd Sherman of Northern Illinois Fireground Photos.
Fire crews quickly put out the bulk of the fire, which was reported at 12:48 p.m.
