BMW Driver Points Gun At Motorists In Traffic: Police

Tinley Park man accused of pointing a gun in traffic at motorists' vehicle in Orland Park with realistic looking BB gun, cops say.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A 20-year-old man was arrested by Orland Park police after he allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist in traffic. Hussien A. Ahmad, of Tinley Park, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of aggravated assault. Ahmad bonded out and is due back in court April 12 in Bridgeview.

Officers responded to a complaint of a man pointing a gun at another motorist in traffic late Monday afternoon. A man and woman were driving northbound on 94th Avenue at 151st Street, when police said a man, later identified as Ahmad, driving a blue BMW pulled alongside their vehicle. The man in the BMW gestured toward the other car and pointed what the man and woman believed to be a black Glock-style handgun, police said. Afraid they would be shot, the man and woman called 911 and provided a description of the suspect and a partial plate number.

Ahmad’s car was located at his residence in the 16200 block of Princeton Avenue in Tinley Park. Ahmad was identified as being the person who allegedly pointed the gun. Officers also found a black Singer BB gun under the front seat of the BMW, according to police. Ahmad was placed under arrest.
