'The Breakfast Club' Returning to Big Screen for 30th Anniversary

Showings at theaters in New Lenox and Orland Park.

It’s been 30 years since we met “a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal.”

Local movie theaters will celebrate the anniversary of “The Breakfast Club” with limited screenings of the John Hughes classic starring Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy. Hughes spent much of his life in Chicago and its surrounding areas, and The Brat Pack classic was filmed at Maine North High School in Des Plaines.

Screenings will take place March 26 and March 31 at 7: 30 p.m. You can buy tickets online.
