The Bridge Teen Center to host Career Readiness Program For Teens

Students will learn how to find a job, fill out an application, dress appropriately, gain basic interview skills and more.

ORLAND PARK, IL – The Bridge Teen Center will host their 9th annual Hershey’s Sweet Success program with The Hershey Company on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 located at 15555 S. 71st Court in Orland Park, Illinois. The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This innovative program will offer high school students an opportunity to prepare themselves for the working world by learning valuable professional skills from a team of young Hershey’s executives.

Students will learn how to find a job, complete an application, dress appropriately, gain basic interview skills and more.

Furthermore, students will receive free Hershey’s chocolate giveaways and all attendants will receive a take-home guide on business etiquette.

“This is a rare opportunity for students to learn from real business executives from one of the world’s most recognizable brands,” said Priscilla Steinmetz, Founder of The Bridge Teen Center.

“As students prepare to look for summer jobs, interview for college scholarships or seek internships, this program will give insight into the most important tips and tricks to help give students a leg up on the competition,” said Steinmetz.

This event is free to teens currently in high school (grades 9th –12th) who are Bridge members. Those high school students who are not Bridge members can join for free by completing an application online at thebridgeteencenter.org. Space is limited for this free program. The Bridge Teen Center is a nationally-recognized nonprofit community center that was designed around the needs and interests of teens in the suburbs. The Bridge provides free holistically-designed afterschool programming and a safe environment for Friday night entertainment. Monthly programs that help parents navigate through the teenage years are also offered. To date, over 7,200 unique students from 128 different communities have been served by The Bridge. The Bridge is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is funded by individuals, businesses, and foundations in the community.
