Cardinal Bernardin School Provides Educational Oasis for Families

Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School highlights the Bullington Family and their transition to private Catholic education.

(Orland Hills) The pandemic changed many things for parents, including educational choices. At Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School (CJB) , just like the rest of the world, our students finished the 2019-2020 school year remotely. However, we resumed the 2020-2021 school year in-person and never went remote again, with the exception of occasional quarantined classrooms. The decision to be in-person at CJB brought many new students to CJB and the majority have remained. Following is the perspective of one of our new families, who have now attended CJB for the past 2 years. Bryan Bullington and his wife, Lauren, have three children, Isabella (‘21), Jack and Matthew. This is what they have to say about transitioning to a private school.

“The pandemic brought us to CJB. We were seeking a full in-person learning environment for our kids. CJB safely kept our kids in school all year while many neighboring schools were learning remotely. What has kept us at CJB is the family atmosphere, rigorous curriculum, and overall high expectations for each student. The teachers set a very high standard and we have loved watching our kids “up their game” and rise to the challenges the teachers set forth in the classroom. We have witnessed work ethic and dedication developing in our children as they are constantly striving to succeed. We know these habits will help them not only as they go onto high school, but also prepare them for life. We are so thankful to the dedicated teachers and staff at CJB for the faith they model to our children and the stellar education they are providing.”

CJB is hosting private tours on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 9AM-1PM. This will be a great opportunity to tour our state-of-the art facility and meet faculty and staff. Our tours will show you why we believe the solid foundation that we provide is the key to academic success. This belief is supported by the fact that 17 of our alumni have been named Valedictorian or Salutatorian at local area high schools, since 2007. We look forward to your registering for a private tour for the upcoming school year and we welcome your family to become part of this amazing community that is CJB.
