The primary focus of Cardinal Joseph Bernardin Catholic School is to motivate students to become self-confident life-long learners. The school strives to prepare students to be responsible members of their community, able to interact with people of all diverse backgrounds as they go out into the world. Through the example of the CJB staff and the daily experiences of the curriculum, children will learn the truths of their faith, become active members of their parishes, experience a variety of liturgies and prayer services, and respond to the call of service to those in need. CJB is dedicated to designing a program of success for each child, filled with opportunities that develop and enrich talents, provide strategies to strengthen weaknesses, and give children the skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century.
CJB students develop their own personal identities while maximizing their God-given talents. They are expected to be respectful, accepting, and cooperative with each other and with their teachers. The school’s hope is that the Cardinal Bernardin student approaches learning with openness and eagerness, while remaining joyful in their endeavors, appreciative of their opportunities and willing to share with others as they grow in faith and wisdom.
