Everett, a dedicated student at Center School, has turned his passion for the environment and all things garbage trucks, into tangible action by establishing a recycling program right here at school. His initiative has not gone unnoticed, recently earning him a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the local Waste Management facility.

Impressed by Everett's commitment to sustainability, district managers at Waste Management provided him with an in-depth look at their operations. During the tour, Everett learned firsthand about waste logistics, innovative waste diversion methods, and the company's broader sustainability goals through engaging conversations with various managers.
In a heartwarming display of appreciation, Waste Management staff even showcased Everett's Waste Management-themed Thanksgiving turkey project from school, accompanied by a sign commending him for his efforts in launching the school's recycling program. Demonstrating further generosity, Everett was also given educational coloring and puzzle books to share with his classmates, fostering environmental awareness among his peers.

Everett's story underscores the significant impact young individuals can have in promoting environmental responsibility, and it highlights the positive connections that can form between schools and local organizations like Waste Management.
