The City Lights Orchestra Returns to Orland Park July 2

Rich Daniels and The City Lights Orchestra make their annual appearance at the village's 12-acre park at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 2.

The Village of Orland Park continues its Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 2 when the City Lights Orchestra takes the stage at Centennial Park West. Rich Daniels and The City Lights Orchestra make their annual appearance at the village’s 12-acre park at 5 p.m.

“The City Lights Orchestra performing in Orland Park is a highlight of the village’s July 4th festivities,” said Trustee Pat Gira, chair of the village’s Recreation and Parks Committee. “We invite everyone to enjoy the beautiful setting at Centennial Park West.”

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy this free two-hour concert featuring a collection of American songs performed by various vocalists and accompanied by a 45-piece orchestra.
Since 1974, Rich Daniels and the City Lights Orchestra have been entertaining audiences in Chicago and across the nation, performing their renditions of everything from The Big Bang Era and Sinatra to The Beatles and Motown.

“Every year, the City Lights Orchestra has brought a high quality performance to the village’s outdoor stage at Centennial Park West,” Gira continued. “Their repertoire is ‘Americana’ with great popular music from the past 80 years. The outdoor backdrop is the perfect way to take in this timeless music.”
Brass Tap, Burger 21 and Nothing Bundt Cakes will have items available for purchase.

Located in the Colette Highlands Subdivision near 159th and 108th Avenue, Centennial Park West is at Park Station Boulevard and Jillian Road. The park has several rolling hills where attendees can set their blankets and chairs to enjoy the performance. Free parking is available at the adjacent train station on Jillian Road.
