Orland Park police had stopped him for speeding when then found the gun, prosecutor said.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Orland Park police found a loaded gun in a convicted burglar’s vehicle during a traffic stop, prosecutors said Friday in court.

Bryan Massey, 24, of Calumet City, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. The prosecutor said he is also due to be resentenced on a 2012 burglary charge in Will County.

According to the charges, Massey was pulled over for speeding in the 9400 block of Hunter Drive, Orland Park, around 1:12 a.m. Dec. 23. When officers searched his car, they found a .380 Bryco Arms semi-auto pistol in the glove box. The gun was loaded with one live round in the chamber, and three in the clip.
