A 32-year-old Hickory Hills man faces a possession of controlled substance charge.
ORLAND PARK, IL — A Hickory Hills man who had an out-of-state warrant was found to be carrying drugs when police pulled him over in Orland Park earlier this month, according to a police report.
Daniel J. Schultz, 32 was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lighting in addition to the warrant just after midnight on Oct. 8.
Orland Park police said they stopped the car driven by Schultz for having a headlight out around 95th Avenue and 143rd Street. They found he had an active warrant out of Jerome County, Idaho for a probation violation and searched the car.

In his car police said they found a Marlboro red cigarette box in the driver's side door panel and inside the box a glass pipe with copper wire. In the same cigarette box, police said they also found a clear plastic bag wrapped in foil with "a white, rock-like substance" they suspected to be crack cocaine.
A test later showed that it was .5 grams of cocaine, according to police.
