Dad Wants Alleged Thieving Son Arrested

An Orland Park dad wants his son arrested after he allegedly stole camera equipment from the family home, detectives said.

Orland Park police were in court asking for an arrest warrant for Robert Golz, of the 14100 block of Selva Lane, who just turned 18, for misdemeanor theft.

According to the charge, Golz entered a locked room around May 5 and stole three camera lenses and a flash attachment valued around $500.

Police said that Golz was captured on home security video entering the room and taking the camera equipment.

Golz cannot be found but has texted his father, the detective told the judge.

The judge issued an arrest warrant carrying $5,000 bail.
