Dick's Armed Robbery Suspect Nabbed In Chicago
Stephaun Dennis faces charges in Orland Park in connection to an armed robbery at Dick's Sporting Goods in April.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Chicago police have captured a fugitive who has been on the run from authorities since a reported armed robbery at the Dick's Sporting Goods store in April. Police officers in the city's 6th District found Stephaun L. Dennis, 21, of Chicago as a backseat passenger in a car they stopped in the 7600 block of S. Maryland Avenue on Sunday, according to a news release from the Orland Park Police Department.
Dennis is accused of pointing a handgun at a Dick's employee on April 30 while escaping from the store after an alleged retail theft.

Orland Park police identified Dennis as the suspect on May 2 and indicated a warrant was out for his arrest with a bond of $150,000. He has now been charged with armed robbery, a Class X felony.
The United States Marshals Service assisted Orland Park police in the search for Dennis, who picked up another charge in Chicago for having allegedly been armed with a handgun at the time of his arrest on Sunday.
