Dick's Sporting Goods Robbed At Gunpoint

Orland Park police are looking for two suspects who committed an armed robbery at the store Sunday evening.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Police in Orland Park are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Dick's Sporting Goods store in the village on Sunday. They were called to the retail store at 1 Orland Park Place at 5:35 p.m. and were told by store associates that two suspects — one man and one woman — left the store without paying for a number of clothing items after a gun was pointed at an employee.

According to police, the two suspects were walking toward the exit of the store with arms full of clothing that had not been paid for when they were approached by a female employee who offered to take the items to the register for them.

The male suspect pulled the handgun from his waistband at that time and pointed it at the employee, according to police. The two then fled the store with some of the stolen clothing.
