
Consolidated High School District 230 Board of Education is seeking to fill a vacancy following the resignation of Mohammed Jaber, who announced his resignation from the Board effective March 26.
Jaber was elected to the Board in April of 2023. He serves as a Special Education teacher with Chicago Public Schools and is a part-time adjunct instructor of Intensive English Language at Moraine Valley Community College. He holds a Master's degree in Education from Saint Xavier University.
School Board President Dr. Lynn Zeder said, “Mr. Jaber has spent his entire career in education advocating for students. The entire board is grateful for his service.”

“Mr. Jaber’s service to the community was met with his passion and focus on the development of our district, its goals, and the future,” said District 230 Superintendent Dr. Robert Nolting. “We appreciated the time he spent on our board and wish him well with his future endeavors.”
Persons interested in serving to fill the vacancy may apply by Monday, April 6, at www.d230.org/school-board/school-board-vacancy-application. Whoever is selected will serve until the next election in April 2027.
