District 230 names new Assistant Superintendent of Business Services

Seamless transition anticipated as experienced school business official assumes position July 1

The Consolidated High School District 230 Board of Education approved Jeff Eagan as the new Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. He will begin July 1, replacing John Lavelle who is retiring after 10 years in the District.

With ample financial leadership experience, Eagan is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Finance at School District 45. Having worked in school business offices for 17 years, 14 of which as the Chief School Business Official, he has a vast array of knowledge with regard to the daily operations of a school district business office at both high school and elementary districts, including Lemont Township High School District 210, Hinsdale Township High School District 86 and Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C.

Eagan also worked for three years as a senior analytics advisor at Forecast5 Analytics, helping analyze customer business and data requirements for companies and schools across the nation. In addition, he has investment experience having worked as an investment analyst at PMA Financial Network for five years.

Superintendent Dr. Robert Nolting said, “We are excited to welcome Jeff as our new Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. He has a proven track record of financial leadership that will strengthen our district's commitment to fiscal responsibility and student success. We are confident his expertise and vision will help us navigate any financial challenges ahead while ensuring our resources are used effectively to support every student and educator in our district."

Eagan holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s in Business Administration both from Northern Illinois University. He also holds a Professional Educator License with a Chief School Business Official Endorsement.
