Eat at Firehouse Subs, Help Family of Late Orland Firefighter

Firehouse Subs of Orland Park and the Orland Fire Protection District will team up Thursday, to help the family of a firefighter killed in a car crash recently.

Fifteen percent of sales at Firehouse, 15892 S. LaGrange Rd. from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday will be donated to the family of Wes Peak. Firefighters will also be on-hand to collect donations.

Peak, 36, of Manteno, served with the Orland fire district for seven years. He died in a single-vehicle crash on I-57 in September. He left behind a wife and young son. He previously worked for Flossmoor, Monee, and Westmont before joining the Orland district.
