Emergency and Specialty Vet Care Clinic Opens In Orland Park

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Premier Veterinary Group cut the ribbon on its new digs Wednesday in Orland Park. The clinic, formerly located in Crestwood, will provide the south suburbs 24-hour emergency and specialty care for pets seven days a week. The facility represents a $2.2 million investment in Orland Park and was designed by Animal Arts in Denver, CO.

The 12,000-square-foot building has nine exam rooms including a “comfort room” for clients to spend their final moments with their beloved pets. In addition, there is an emergency treatment area, a separate ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for critical patients, an isolation ward for infectious patients, an endoscopy suite, an ultrasound suite, a digital radiology suite, a computerized tomography (CT) suite, two surgical suites, one dermatology suite, and an onsite laboratory. Premier also plans to add a heated and covered outdoor area for hospitalized pets.

In addition to 24-hour emergency care, Premier will offer internal medicine, advanced surgery (including soft tissue, orthopedics and neurosurgery), medical oncology, video endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiology, CT Imaging, blood banks for cats and dogs, and a complete diagnostic laboratory (including blood-gas analysis, urinalysis and coagulation assays).

After acquiring Emergency Veterinary Care South in Crestwood in 2013, the company changed its name from Premier Veterinary Group: Animal Emergency and Specialty Centers. The new name echoes the team’s dedication to customer service and the superior emergency and specialty care they offer pets, pet owners and referring veterinarians.
