
The Orland Park Public Library will be hosting an opening reception in honor the library’s “A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs” exhibit.
Peter Oprisko, a premiere interpreter of treasured adult pop, jazz and American songbook standards, will be performing with his ensemble during the reception.
Refreshments, sponsored by The Great American Bagel and Panera Bread, will be served. This reception is free and open to the public.
“A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs” is a traveling exhibit about the contributions of iconic Jewish songwriters such as Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein to the great “American Songbook” during the period 1910-1965. It opened at the Orland Park Public Library on July 13.
