As part of the Bridge Teen Center’s commitment to providing free holistic programs for students, a special “Community Connections” Emphasis Week is being offered during the week of March 21.
These programs are offered as part of the Bridge’s “Community
Connections” program category, that is designed to serve as a “bridge” between families, schools, churches, and businesses in the community. Each free event is limited in size, so advance online sign-up is required.

SELF DEFENSE: Save Your Life (Tuesday, 4-6 p.m.): Led by self-defense experts Sean and Tarne Mixson, who lead classes on the subject all over the world. Learn how to prevent being attacked as well as hands-on self defense techniques to defend yourself against an attacker.
CPR: Save Another’s Life (Wednesday, 2-6 p.m.): Professionals from Sanford-Brown College will train students on CPR and Heimlich Maneuver basics to prepare you to be able to save a stranger, friend, or family member in a life-threatening situation.

COMPUTER: Save a Computer’s Life (Thursday, 4:30-6 p.m.): Best Buy Tinley Park’s “Geek Squad” will teach students how to maintain and save the life of their computers through everyday techniques and preventative maintenance.
