The National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the United States Postal Service and the Orland Park Post Office, is sponsoring the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 14, to benefit the Orland Township Food Pantry.
Orland Township residents can place non-expired, non-perishable food donations near their mailbox and a letter carrier will collect the items and deliver them to the Orland Township Food Pantry for distribution.
Items needed include canned meats, fish, macaroni and cheese, fruits, vegetables, soup, pasta, cereal, rice, bottled juice and toilet paper. Items that need to be refrigerated or are packaged in glass containers cannot be accepted.
