Lincoln National Cemetery Seeks Volunteers for Flag Duty

Volunteers are needed to put flags in for Memorial Day weekend at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Staff members are hoping patriots will assist them in placing more than 22,000 American flags at the veterans markers.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 8:45 a.m. Friday and park near the belltower.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring work gloves, a backpack or bag for flags, water and bug spray.

The cemetery would also appreciate assistance taking flags out at 9 a.m. May 31.
