Orland Square Mall has announced that it would implement a wristband procedure for Atlantic recording artist Cody Simpson’s upcoming performance at Orland Square Mall scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 6:30 p.m.
Simpson’s appearance is part of the Australian pop sensation’s “Coast To Coast Tour” -- presented by Pastry and co-sponsored by Claire’s and Defeat The Label -- at select Simon Property Group malls throughout the U.S.
The tour supports the release of his eagerly awaited debut album On My Mind, slated to arrive in stores and at all digital retailers on Sept. 20.

Simpson will be onstage starting at 6:30 p.m. to perform four songs. He will sign autographs only for fans who pre-purchase his CD. This is the only time he is making an appearance at the event.
By Fire Marshall Ordinance, there is limited space for fans to see Cody Simpson at Orland Square Mall. Approximately 1,000 wrist bands will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis, with a limit of one wristband per person. Once all the wristbands have been distributed, no other individuals will be allowed to enter the event area.

Fans can start lining up at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at Orland Square Mall in the parking lot between JCPenney and Sears on the lower level. Once consumers receive their wristbands, they will be asked to leave and come back to the event area at 5:30 p.m. when they will be allowed to enter the event area. No one will be allowed to line up or enter the event area before 5:30 p.m.
Individuals without a wristband will not be permitted in the event space.
“Our first priority when there is an event on mall that has the potential to attract large crowds is always the safety and security of mall patrons,” said Ken Brown, Orland Square Mall manager.
“We have worked very closely with Atlantic, the appropriate municipal safety contacts, and our own mall management team to come up with a plan that meets our paramount safety objective and also provides controlled access to as many of Cody’s fans as possible.”
Fans that either arrive wearing Pastry shoes or pre-purchase an FYE CD will also receive a different colored wrist band that will allow them access to an autograph session after the performance.
CDs can be pre-purchased for $6 starting at 3:30 p.m. outside the parking lot between JCPenney and Sears on the lower level. Limited quantities are available.
Non-flash photography during the performance is acceptable. No photos will be taken during autograph signing. Anyone caught making or attempting to make counterfeit wristbands will be escorted off mall property by security immediately and turned over to law enforcement.
