Orland Township is hosting “Wellness Wednesday” on Sept. 28 and Oct. 26 in the Orland Township Activity Center, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park, every fourth Wednesday of the month from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Residents may have their blood pressure and blood sugar checked by a registered medical professional.
A basic cholesterol screening is offered for a $5 charge and the test requires participants to fast for 9 to 12 hours prior. Additional services include free hearing screenings by Sertoma Speech and Hearing Center and cardiac health risk screenings for $25, including carotid arterial imaging, abdominal aortic aneurysm and ankle/brachial index by Agape Global Outreach.
