Orland Township's assessment appeal filing deadline with the Cook County Assessor's Office is Monday, Dec. 13. In order to ensure that all appeals are mailed on time, Orland Township is accepting appeals until Thursday, Dec. 9. Residents may submit an appeal at the Orland Township Assessor's Office at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The Orland Township Assessor's Office will continue to assist taxpayers with appeal preparation after the Dec. 9 deadline. However, residents will need to mail the appeal to the Cook County Assessor's Office at 118 N. Clark St., Chicago IL 60602. All envelopes should be marked "2010 Appeal". Appeals may also be dropped off at the Assessor's Office in the Markham or Bridgeview satellite branch offices.
