A community forum will be held by the South Suburban MoveOn.org Council on the merits of a single-payer health insurance system for Illinois and for the nation. Dr. Anne Scheetz from Physicians for a Health Care Program will discuss the benefits of a single-payer system for individual states and for the nation.
Also to be discussed is the proposal in Congress to privatize Medicare and its implications for future beneficiaries.
