Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Avenue, and the Cook County Department of Public Health, Tobacco Prevention and Control Unit are hosting a smoking cessation program, produced by the American Lung Association, beginning Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The free program will provide support and the skills needed to quit smoking, under the guidance of a trained facilitator. Materials and Carbon Monoxide (CO) testing will also be provided.
The itinerary for the eight-week session is as follows:
Week One-January 4, 2012-“Thinking About Quitting”
Week Two-January 11, 2012- “On the Road to Freedom”
Week Three-January 18, 2012-“Wanting to Quit”
Week Four-January 25, 2012-“Quit Day”
Week Five-February 1, 2012-“Winning Strategies”
Week Six-February 8, 2012- “The New You”
Week Seven-February 15, 2012- “Staying Off”
Week Eight-February 22, 2012-“Celebration!”
