Winter guard is an emerging art form and the school is proud to host this event for the first time and bring the community 28 color guard units and one percussion team. With its roots in the drum corps and marching band world, winter guard first arrived on the scene as a competitive sport itself only 25 years ago. Its members, who must be equally skilled as an artist and athlete, blend together a majestic performance of twirling flags, rifles and sabers while dancing.
