Free Health Fair for Seniors Planned at Orland Township

Health screenings and information will be provided at Orland Township event on April 13.

ORLAND PARK, IL - A free senior mini health fair is planned for the Orland Township building at 14807 S. Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 13.

The fair will include a day of free health screenings and information provided by local senior service-related agencies, refreshments, raffles and giveaways, according to a news release.

“Our local seniors’ well being is very important to us,” Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady said. “Having this Senior Mini Health Fair has been very successful not only for the local seniors who come out and take part in the free health screenings but all the vendors who give of their time which we appreciate very much.”

Services available will include:

  • Total Lipid Profile testing by
  • Orland Township
  • Blood pressure screenings by College of DuPage Nursing
  • Program and hearing screenings by South Suburban Hearing Health Center

Shingles vaccinations from Orland Township will also be available on this day for a discounted price of $190 per shot. Discounted pneumonia shots for either $80 or $175 will also be available: Pneumovax 23 ($80) and Prevnar 13 ($175). An appointment must be made by April 6 for a hearing screening or a shingles or pneumonia vaccination. Call (708) 403-4222.
