Garbage Fire Took Hours To Put Out
A load of garbage on a Waste Management truck caught fire in Orland Park Wednesday morning.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A load of garbage caught fire on a Waste Management truck in Orland Park on Wednesday. The morning fire took Orland firefighters about two hours to get under control.
After noticing the load of garbage on fire near the intersection of Laurel and Orland Creek Drive waste management workers dropped the load onto the street, Orland Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Nick Cinquepalmi said.
The village of Orland Park assisted with an end loader to remove the rubbish.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
