Garden Event Heralds the Arrival of Spring: A Great Escape
Sid's Greenhouse offers hope for the verdant days to come.

Winter blues may have you down, but Spring is definitely in the air at . For 22 years, the garden center has hosted its annual Garden Expo. This year's show will include plenty of eye candy to snap you out of your funk and get the creative gardening juices flowing.
On Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5, Sid's will play host to more than 40 vendors offering everything from live plants and containers to garden apparel and outdoor living accessories. Expo-goers will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives from these companies who will be able to offer advice and suggestions for your next garden project.
"There will also be a lot of local garden clubs who will be soliciting memberships," said Scott Henderson, marketing director for Sid's Greenhouse.

In addition to garden products, there will be a series of seminars on both days. With the interest in organic gardening growing in recent years, Henderson expects the presentation on organics and soil health, given by a representative from the Dr. Earth Company, to be a favorite.
According to Henderson, the two-day event will draw about 3,000 people. Admission is free. Participants will be treated to free samples as well as opportunities to win door prizes.
