Based on true events, Made in Dagenham takes place during the 1968 strike at the Ford Dagenham car plant, where female workers walked out and protested sexual discrimination. Rated R, runtime 113 minutes.

An Evening of Jazz
May 27 & 28, 7pm |
Enjoy an evening of jazz while sampling Carmen's French-inspired menu or sipping an exotic drink. The evening's performance will feature Tim Branch (saxophonist) and Mike Smith (pianist/vocalist). There is no cover charge.

Gaelic Park is hosting its annual Irish Festival. Come enjoy music, food, drinks, family activities, a petting zoo, carnival rides, theatrical performances, a dance competition and an Irish tea room. See the full event schedule here. A 1-day pass is $15 for adults; children under 12 and seniors are $12. Children under 3 are free. Admission is $10 at the gate for the first hour. A discounted 4-day pass can be purchased online.

Remember our fallen warriors at the Orland Park Memorial Ceremony. Listen to the mournful sound of bagpipes, and see the 50 state flags fly, presented by members of the American Legion Orland Memorial Post #111 and the Orland-Palos Reber-Tesmond Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2604. The Orland Park Cub Scout Pack 383 will serve as an honor guard. The ceremony will be located at the Veterans Memorial (Ara Pacis, meaning "altar of peace"), located south of the building.

Family Fun


May 27, 7pm |
Children ages 4 and up, put on your jammies and grab your teddy bear - it's time for nighttime stories, songs and fun. No registration is needed, but children with Orland Park Library cards will be give priority admittance. Can Youth Services at 708-428-5127 for more information.


May 26 - 29 |
Bring the kids to Odyssey Fun World this weekend for a wide variety of activities.

  • May 26 - 29: Memorial Weekend Extravaganza! Get an Extreme Adventure Wristband for only $17 (normally $25).  This wristband gives you access to all the rides inside and out (excluding paintball and token machines.)
  • May 28: 4 - 6pm - Southpaw will sign autographs and be riding the rides
  • May 29: 4 - 6pm - Party with the Radio Disney Road Crew

Spring Drop In Story Time
May 27, 10am or 1pm | Children ages 2 - 6 are welcome to stop in for story time. This week's topic is daddies.
