Heroes Who Saved Crash Victim Sought

Several bystanders who held a car in place to save a woman's life in Orland Park on Saturday remain unidentified.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A group of heroes remain unidentified two days after they worked together to save the life of a woman who was injured in a car wreck Saturday afternoon near 159th Street and Will Cook Road in Orland Park.

Several bystanders stopped to render aide and "literally hold a car in place from completely rolling on its roof" after the single-vehicle accident, according to an Orland Fire Protection Agency Facebook post.

"These people risked their lives to save a person they've never met," Fire Chief Michael Schofield said. "I'm grateful for their actions."
