A new report shows where Illinois ranks in terms of political engagement compared to rest of the states.

Illinoisans aren’t entirely enthusiastic when it comes participating in elections, though when you consider how many elected officials have ended up behind bars, it’s somewhat understandable.
A recent WalletHub study ranked each state based on its political engagement, and while Illinois wasn’t among the worst, there is more than enough room for improvement. Take a look at how the state’s engagement fluctuates when college education, GDP and tax fairness are factored in.
