Jerling Students Raise Funds for American Heart Association
Students at Jerling Junior High School in Orland Park raised more than $6,000 for the American Heart Association.

ORLAND PARK, IL - Students at Jerling Junior High School in Orland Park took part in the annual "Hoops for Heart" fundraiser, raising more than $6,000 for the American Heart Association.
Sixth graders teamed to raise $2,800, seventh graders $1,636 and eighth graders $1,601. All took part in either basketball, jump rope and hula hoop activities on Friday, Feb. 10 to mark their accomplishments in raising the funds for charity.
The top fundraisers will receive free tickets to a Chicago Wolves game in April.

"We are very proud of our students and the generosity they exude every day and with every fundraising event," the school wrote in a news release. "Congratulations, and a job well done to all of the students and staff that participated."
